Can You Hear Me?
By Nelson Holmes,
Inspired by and based on The Wall, by Pink Floyd

(David Gilmour)
Hey you…
Can you hear me?
Can you hear me?
Can you hear me, out beyond the wall?
Can you take the pride before the fall?
Can you hear me?  Can you hear me?
(Roger Waters)
Hey you!
Can you save me?
Can you save me?
Can you free from the wall?
Please!
I’m crying out to you!
Can you save me?
Can you scale it?
Can you break it?
Can you free me from the wall?
(Roger Waters, David Gilmour)
Can you hear me?
Can you hear me?
Can you hear me?
Hear me…hear me…hear me…
(Roger waters)
Can’t you save me!
Can’t you break the bricks?
Can’t you save me?
Can’t you bring me home again!
Can’t you do anything at all?

This is a song I wrote based on Pink Floyd's album, The Wall. It's written as if Pink Floyd's two lead singers, Roger Waters and David Gimour, are performing it. This is my first stab at songwriting and I hope to get better at it. This one, to me, isn't very good, but let me know what you think.

Awesome, simply. I need to listen to the Wall, and maybe that'll add something to my perception of it, but it's awesome.
Really? Thanks Kyriin. I want to do it over again and actually write a definitive tune for it. Right now it's semi-tuneless and some of the phrasing strikes me as awkward. I'm always my own worst critic...
Thanks!

Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin, would look on me with love and watch me rise again? Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea, would call out through the rain and calm the storm in me?
And listening to the Wall would DEFINITELY add to your perception. AWESOME album.
